Understanding The Klaviyo Dashboard

Hey It’s Dylan from Inbox Insights.
To put it bluntly, Klaviyo is the only email marketing platform you should be using if you own an e-commerce store.
But let’s be real—when you first log into Klaviyo, it can feel overwhelming. So today, I’m breaking down the basics of the Klaviyo dashboard, section by section, so you can start making more cash.
Main Dashboard
As soon as you log in, you’ll see a snapshot of your stores performance.
Revenue Overview - see total revenue as well as the revenue coming from Email & SMS
Recent campaigns - Track your last few campaigns at a glance
Top performing flows - see which flows have been doing the best this month

You should be aiming for your email rev to be split 50-50 between flows and campaigns…
Segments & Lists
This is where you manage who you send your emails to and can be found in the left hand column in the dashboard under ‘audience’
Lists - static list of profiles (eg: all sms subscribers)
Segments - a dynamic group of profiles that constantly move depending on the variables you set (watch this video I made about that here).
Campaigns
Found right under the home tab. This is where you can view all your past campaigns but also send or schedule a new one.
Pro tip: when creating a new campaign, instead of starting from scratch, clone your a recent one and edit that! It’ll save you a lot of time and effort.

Flows
This is where you set up all your automations like your welcome and abandon cart flows.
We like to set up at least 8 different flows, but here are a few of the non negotiables you need:
Welcome flow (welcomes new subscribers and offers them a first time discount)
Abandon cart + checkout (targeting at customers who have left items in their cart and abandoned checkout!)
Browse abandon (targets those who browse products but never take any action).

My 2 cents:
Does a great job at bridging the gap between the customers problem and the solution (being them). Notice how they still add a button to shop now before jumping into some helpful tips.
